About Us

Top Dog Foundation’s mission is to change the way we think about senior dogs (ElderPups). We ensure a great last chapter of life for ElderPups orphaned when a senior person dies or is moved to assisted living, and the dog can’t follow, or for dogs no longer wanted by their owners due to age and or health concerns.

Top Dog Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing and providing lifelong care for senior dogs in need.

Our Purpose

“I am so passionate about the bond between senior people and their dogs – it’s my passion, and my purpose. Top Dog Foundation (TDF) was created to foster a new conversation around long-term animal care and owner well-being. My vision is a world where people moved to assisted living don’t have to say goodbye to their dogs; and seniors wanting the companionship don’t worry that their dog will outlive them and be forced into an unpleasant situation. Dogs that are not adoptable due to age or situation won’t have to face being euthanized but rather have a permanent place for living out the remainder of their lives with no pressures of adoption. Bentley’s Place, located on the campus of Top Dog Country Club (TDCC), will be this home and function as a senior living facility for dogs. Just as Top Dog Country Club has set a new standard for caring for dogs, Bentley’s Place will create a new standard in the care of senior dogs.”
